Error in historic Page 1 Thursday, Nov 6 2008 

The pointer to the daily collectible hockey medallion that appeared on Page 1 of yesterday’s paper (Editor’s Note: The November 5 “President Obama” Page 1)  identified the wrong medallion. Yesterday’s medallion featured Sergei Kostitsyn, not Andrei Kostitsyn. The Gazette regrets the error.

What Liberal majority? Saturday, Apr 5 2008 

A factbox on the life and career of Pierre Trudeau that appeared in yesterday’s paper said incorrectly that when Trudeau’s Liberals won the federal election in 1968 it was the party’s first federal-election majority win since 1958. In fact, the previous Liberal majority win was in 1953.
